With a nursing, education and aged care career that has spanned 36 years, Kath has worked as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Educator, Aged Care and Nursing Education Manager, and Executive Aged Care Manager over the last 26 years. Kath has also supported ANMAC for five years as an ENAC Member, as well as an academic and chair as a Diploma of Nursing accreditation auditor.
In the past Kath has been a course coordinator for international courses for overseas nurses, owned her own curriculum development business, writing for courses for nursing English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners, and studied her Master of Education - specializing in the same EAL nursing research field.
Kath has written, developed and delivered leadership courses in the nursing and aged care sectors in the past 10 years and has a strong understanding of the obstacles we all face in cultural safety in this current aged care staffing era that we are experiencing.
Kath is passionate about disarming unsafe work culture habits and attitudes, and in her current role is focused on leading her rural aged care team members towards accepting equity, inclusion and diversity in their workplace environment.
