Susan Wray
Chief Executive Officer
Edgerley Assisted Living
My name is Susan Wray. I have been a Registered Nurse since 1991 with over 25 years’ experience in Aged Care. I have held various managerial, quality and education roles over the years, culminating in my first CEO role of a Regional Aged Care organization in December 2020. I recently completed the Certified CEO Program with the CEO Institute/University of New England.
I am dedicated to ensuring quality care is delivered to my residents. I have previously submitted abstracts to LASA: one published in Fusion magazine several years ago and then had a Digital Presentation at the 2017 National LASA Conference. I also attended various conferences in recent years where I was invited to sit on panels discussing Work Force shortages. I am extremely passionate about the Aged Care industry and its future.
My first concern is ensuring that there are suitably qualified staff providing quality care and outcomes to the residents. The next highest priority is to ensure that Regional/Remote Aged Care has a voice and is represented. The workforce shortages (GP’s, Nurses, Allied Health) in Regional/Remote areas are at crisis point and can be directly related to several closures of Aged Care Providers. I am married and have three grown children, love football and spending time with my family.
