Independent Living Manager at Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative, a community-based, not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation founded in 1979. Providing holistic health and social support services, focusing on the Aboriginal community. The principle of Aboriginal community control ensures programs are culturally appropriate and effective.
With over 15 years of experience in home and community care and a Diploma in Leadership and Management, I lead the Independent Living team to support Elders, people with disabilities, and their carers to stay connected to community, country, and culture. As a non-Indigenous person working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, I am dedicated to understanding and respecting Aboriginal culture while ensuring our services meet the community's needs.
